    Setup A Paid Subscription

With this option, readers attempting to view the Digital Edition will be prompted to either subscribe or login to gain access to the issue. Once a user subscribes, he/she is automatically added to the subscriptions database, at which point a confirmation email is deployed to the reader with his/her login credentials. A PayPal account is necessary to setup a Paid Subscription as that is how all transactions are processed.

You can setup an annual/bundle subscription and/or single-issue purchase(s). To accomplish this, you need to create different subscriptions lists in your dashboard. The annual/bundle list needs to be associated with All Issues and priced accordingly. The single-issue purchase(s) list(s) needs to be associated with just the particular issue for sale (for example March 2012) and, again, priced to reflect just the single-issue purchase. Please note: the "Include Archives" option will not function in a single-issue subscription. The subscriber will only have access to the issue or issues within that subscription. i.e. If a subscription is associated to the December 2015 issue and the January 2016 issue, then the user will only have access to those two issues. The user will not have access to archives.

If you already have a list of subscribers, you need to communicate them back to the subscription database for authentication either through CSV file upload(s), adding a single subscriber, or through XML Subscription API.

    Setup A Free Registration

Readers attempting to view the Digital Edition will be prompted to register by filling out a form and submitting it online prior to being given access to the Digital Edition. Once a user registers, he/she is automatically added to the registration database, at which point a registration confirmation email is deployed to the reader. The reader is then redirected to the Digital Edition.

When a reader registers, a cookie is planted in his/her browser, and the reader will not need to register again unless he/she has cleared his/her cache and cookies or is trying to access the Digital Edition from a different device or browser.
